The Executive Office and Board of Directors of the Arab-French Chamber met in the French capital, Paris, headed by the Chamber's President, Vincent Reyna, with the participation of Samir Majoul, President of the Union of Arab Chambers and President of the Tunisian Confederation of Industry, Trade, and Handicrafts; Senator Khalil Al-Haj Tawfiq, President of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce; Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al Thani, President of the Qatar Chamber; and Dr. Khaled Hanafi, Secretary-General of the Union of Arab Chambers, in addition to Chamber members from both the Arab and French sides.
The meetings reviewed the current work of the Arab-French Chamber and the role it plays in strengthening and enhancing economic, trade, and investment relations between France and the Arab world. They also addressed ongoing preparations for the upcoming Arab-French Economic Summit.
The President of the Union of Arab Chambers, Samir Majoul, and the President of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce, Senator Khalil Al-Haj Tawfiq, participated; the President of the Qatar Chamber, Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al Thani, and the Secretary-General of the Union of Arab Chambers, Dr. Khaled Hanafi participated in a dialogue meeting held in the French capital, Paris, with the Chairman of the Foreign Relations and National Security Committee of the French Parliament. The meeting was attended by a wide range of Arab and French businessmen, as well as a prominent presence from the Council of Arab Ambassadors accredited to the French capital, Paris, and members of the Board of Directors of the Arab-French Chamber.
The meeting reviewed the historical relations between France and the Arab world and ways to develop them into a strategic partnership in the coming period, given the current global circumstances. The meeting also addressed the activities and events that the Chamber will organize during the current year, which will enhance cooperation between Arab countries and the French Republic in the fields of trade and investment.
The President of the Union, Samir Majoul, noted the growing trade relations between Arab countries and France, noting that the Union of Arab Chambers is working with the Arab chambers that are members of the Arab-French Chamber of Commerce to unify positions on various economic and trade issues, leading to the promotion of Arab exports to the French Republic. He praised the role played by the Arab-French Chamber, noting that the Chamber has, since its establishment, aimed to develop and strengthen trade relations and cooperation between economic and commercial decision-makers in France and the Arab countries.
He also pointed to the close and historical cooperation ties between the Arab world, Tunisia, and France, emphasizing the commitment to strengthening cooperation between Arab businessmen and their French counterparts, which would contribute to increasing trade exchange between the two sides, making France an important strategic trade partner for the Arab world and Tunisia.
He noted that Tunisia is an important and key partner for France and that the volume of trade and investment exchange has witnessed significant growth in recent years. He also noted that many French businessmen and investors invest in France and that Tunisian investors are also investing heavily in the French market, given its attractive investment climate and lucrative opportunities.
