Foreign trade data showed that Kuwait's trade balance surplus declined by 18.4 percent and by about 2.614 billion dinars to decrease to 11.62 billion in 2024 compared to 14.234 billion in 2023. Kuwait's foreign trade exchange also declined by 5.8 percent and by about 2.137 billion to fall to 34.994 billion against 37.13 billion.
Data from the Central Administration of Statistics revealed that the value of the import bill last year grew by 2.1 percent to reach 11.687 billion against 11.448 billion, and Kuwait's total exports fell 9.3 percent and by about 2.376 billion to 23.3 billion against 25.683 billion, where exports (national origin) dominated those exports by 96.3 percent, despite their decline by 10.57 percent, and by 2.653 billion to 22.438 billion against 25.09 billion.
