UAE Minister of Economy Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri revealed that the financial technology sector contributes 8.7 percent of the UAE's GDP.
The Minister of Economy pointed out that the UAE aims to raise the sector's contribution to GDP to about 12 percent by 2031. He pointed out that the number of new economic licenses that entered the UAE market in 2024 reached 200,000 licenses working in various economic activities. He pointed out that there are currently more than 1.1 million companies and economic institutions operating in the UAE markets.
