US President Donald Trump has warned that Washington will soon impose 25 percent tariffs on European products.
Trump considered that the European Union was created to harm Washington, and said: "Let's be frank, the European Union was created to harm the United States." "We have made the decision, and we will announce it soon, and it will be 25 percent, the same percentage of duties that will be imposed on Mexican and Canadian products from early April," he said.
The tariffs would target products including cars, he said, adding that the EU had "already exploited us".
Trump threatened to impose tariffs on U.S. trading partners to counter "unfair and unbalanced" trade.
