Brent crude prices rose on Tuesday, extending gains from the previous session after a drone attack targeted an oil pipeline pumping station in Russia, which led to a decline in crude flows from Kazakhstan. Brent crude futures rose 19 cents, or 0.25 percent, to $75.40 a barrel. U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude futures rose about 1.05 percent to $71.48 a barrel.

In a research note, BMI expects Brent crude to average $76 per barrel in 2025, down 5 percent from the 2024 average, due to oversupply in the markets, tariffs, and trade tensions.
