Saudi Tourism Minister Ahmed Al-Khatib confirmed that “the Middle East received 95 million tourists in 2024, and the share of the Gulf countries was the largest share of tourists, as major events contributed to attracting large numbers of tourists."
He pointed out that "intra-Gulf tourism is witnessing continuous prosperity, and the Gulf countries attract capital thanks to their stability and economic growth," adding that "the private sector is a key partner in promoting tourism in the Gulf."
For his part, the Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, Jassim Al-Budaiwi, stressed that "the tourism sector in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries is witnessing a qualitative transformation, achieving an economic return that exceeded $ 110 billion in 2023."
