The e-commerce market in Saudi Arabia witnessed a significant growth in 2024, by four times, and this increase is expected to continue, according to Ali Bailon, the regional general manager of Visa in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Oman.
Bailon noted that “expectations indicate that this market will grow in the Kingdom by up to 46 percent by 2030, compared to about 20 to 26 percent currently, which reflects the great opportunities in this sector.”
Bailon pointed out that Visa is working closely with its retail partners to develop this market, explaining that trends are changing as merchants either need to provide online shopping services themselves or cooperate with e-commerce platforms to expand their reach.
