Five Arab Cities among the Richest In the World in the Size of Sovereign Assets

Global SWF has released a new global ranking of cities in terms of capital managed by its sovereign wealth funds. Abu Dhabi ranked first as the richest city in the world, in terms of sovereign wealth funds, with $ 1.674 trillion as of October 1, 2024, while Riyadh ranked fifth with assets of $ 1.119 trillion.

Norway's Oslo came in second with $1.668 trillion in asset management, Beijing in third place, with $1.342 trillion in asset management, and Singapore in fourth place with assets worth $1.135 trillion.

Kuwait ranked seventh with assets worth $ 978 billion, followed by Doha with assets worth $ 510 billion, Dubai came in ninth place with sovereign assets of $ 490 billion, while the Australian city of Melbourne ranked tenth with assets of $ 239 billion.
