The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development recommended that Morocco continue its efforts to reduce the spread of bribery and dematerialize the relationship between citizens and the public administration, which would help facilitate the activities of economic actors.

On the occasion of presenting the report on the conclusion of the second country program that brought together the Kingdom and the Organization, the Secretary-General of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development, Matthias Cormann, stressed the need to make additional efforts to reduce bribery. He explained at the conference, which was attended by the Moroccan Prime Minister, Aziz Akhannouch, that many companies suffer from providing financial compensation in order to facilitate their activities.

The organization revealed that reducing bribery indicators by half compared to the global average will contribute in the long term by 8.5 percent to GDP growth.
