A report by QNB Financial Services showed that the total assets of the Qatari banking sector in April decreased by 1.3 percent month-on-month (-0.4 percent in 2024) to reach QAR 1.961 trillion. During the same month, the Qatari banking sector loan book increased marginally by 0.1 percent month-on-month (up 1.8 percent in 2024). Deposits decreased by 0.6 percent month-on-month (up 3.9 percent in 2024) in April 2024. International credit pushed total credit up marginally. With deposits declining in April, the deposit-to-loan ratio rose to 127.9 percent from 127.1 percent in March 2024.
