The King of Bahrain, Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, issued a decree to restructure the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Bahrain, with Hassan Khalifa Al-Jalahma remaining its Chairman.
The decree included the appointment of members of the bank's board of directors to include the CEO of the Economic Development Board, the Undersecretary for Financial Affairs at the Ministry of Finance and National Economy, and the CEO of the National Financial Investigation Center at the Ministry of Interior. Members include Ahmed Mohammed Buhijji and Amal Ahmed Al Abbasi. The term of office of the members of the Council shall be four years, renewable for other similar periods.
The King of Bahrain also issued Resolution No. (30) of 2024 to restructure the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, headed by the Minister of Tourism.
