Qatari Banks’ Assets Increased By 5.8 Percent

Qatar Central Bank (QCB) revealed that the banking sector achieved growth during February 2024 compared to February 2023, as the total assets of commercial banks increased by 5.8 percent to reach 1.97 trillion riyals. Total deposits also increased by 9.2 percent to reach about 845.8 billion riyals. Total domestic credit rose 5.8 percent to about 1.29 trillion riyals. Total domestic liquidity represented by the M2 money supply increased by 6.5 percent to about 747.5 billion riyals. Qatar Central Bank aims to achieve strong growth for the financial sector in the coming years, and the third strategy of the financial sector constitutes another chapter of excellence and success, and the spirit of innovation and innovation, which is supported by the strong foundations of our national economy.
