Saudi Arabia's Non-Oil Exports Rise 0.8 Percent

A report issued by the General Authority for Statistics in Saudi Arabia showed that Saudi non-oil exports increased by about 0.8 percent in January 2024, while oil exports fell by 13.5 percent. Non-oil exports, which include re-exports, increased by 0.8 percent compared to January 2023, while national non-oil exports, excluding re-exports, decreased to 11.5 percent.

The value of re-exported goods rose to 42.6 percent during the same period. Merchandise exports in January 2024 decreased by 10.3 percent compared to January 2023, as a result of the decrease in petroleum exports by 13.5 percent.

The report showed a decrease in the proportion of petroleum exports in total exports from 77.6 percent in January 2023 to 74.8 percent in January 2024.
