Oil prices rose for the second consecutive day, after increasing by more than a dollar at settlement on Monday amid expectations of shrinking supplies due to Russian production cuts and attacks on Russian refineries.

Brent crude rose 23 cents to $86.98 a barrel. U.S. crude futures rose 28 cents to $82.23.

Oil prices have risen due to supply issues and continuing tensions in the Middle East. Crude closed up $1.32 at settlement in the previous trading session.
