The 100 Million Achievement Transforms Tourism into a Key Driver of Saudi Arabia's Economic Diversification

Saudi tourists exceeded the 100 million figure in 2023, spending more than 250 billion riyals ($ 66.6 billion), which was praised by the World Tourism Organization and the World Travel and Tourism Council, as this achievement confirms the success of Saudi Arabia's efforts to transform the travel and tourism sector into a key driver of economic diversification and growth.

The Minister of Tourism, Ahmed Al-Khatib, considered that this achievement came as a result of the government's follow-up and interest in strengthening the tourism sector and raising its contribution to the GDP in accordance with Vision 2030."
