AED 66 Billion Contribution of Tourism and Travel to the UAE Economy 2023

Recent statistics show that the travel and tourism sector contributed about 66 billion dirhams ($49.18 billion) to the UAE economy in 2023, and this figure is expected to reach $64.12 billion in 2033, representing 10.2 percent of the country's GDP, according to the World Travel and Tourism Council.

Business and luxury travel, travel, incentives and the conference and exhibition sector contribute significantly to economic growth and sustainable development, while Statista Research expects the global market to reach more than a trillion dollars in 2027.

The UAE government estimates that the country's travel and tourism market will create 770,000 jobs by 2027, while the sector is expected to generate ever-increasing revenues for regional economies.
