Dubai Records an Increase in Passenger Numbers

Dubai recorded record numbers of international visitors in the first half of 2023, an increase of 20 percent compared to the same period last year. The emirate welcomed 8.55 million international visitors during this period, exceeding pre-pandemic rates of 8.36 million international visitors in the first half of 2019.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, said: “The exceptional performance of Dubai's tourism sector during the first half of this year and the significant growth and continuous momentum achieved by this vital sector are in line with the vision of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to consolidate Dubai's position as the best city to work, live and visit in the world.”
