Foreign Assets Growth of the Omani Central Bank is up to 30%

Statistics issued by the National Center for Statistics and Information in the Sultanate of Oman showed that the volume of foreign assets of the Central Bank of Oman grew by 28.9 percent at the end of last November, to reach 7 billion and 482 million and 200 thousand Omani riyals, compared to 5 billion and 805 million and 500 thousand Omani riyals during the same period in 2020.

The total volume of local liquidity witnessed an increase of 5.3 percent to reach 20 billion and 104 million and 300 thousand Omani riyals, compared to the same period in 2020 of 19 billion and 99 million and 100 thousand Omani riyals.

The money supply, which consists of total cash outside the banking system, in addition to current accounts and demand deposits in local currency, increased by 1.4 percent to reach 5 billion and 671 million and 100 thousand Omani riyals, compared to five billion and 594 million and 500 thousand Omani riyals during the same period from 2020. The total private sector deposits with commercial banks and Islamic windows in the Sultanate of Oman increased by 5.3 percent to reach 17 billion and 325 million and 200 thousand Omani riyals at the end of last November, compared to 16 billion and 457 million and 100 thousand Omani riyals during the same period in 2020.
