Bahrain Introduces Golden Residency Visa to Attract Investors and Talents

Bahrain has introduced a new type of permanent residence visa to attract residents, investors and talented people, the "Golden" residence visa announced by the Ministry of Interior will be renewed indefinitely, and it will grant the right to work in Bahrain and residency to family members.

Bahrain had announced a new plan for economic growth and fiscal balance, which included major infrastructure projects.

To be eligible for the new visa, the person must have resided in Bahrain for at least five years, with an average salary of no less than 2,000 Bahraini dinars ($5306) per month. High-value property owners, retirees, and talented people who meet the criteria and conditions will also be eligible for the new visa. The golden residency visa will be renewed indefinitely and will grant the right to work in Bahrain and unrestricted entry and exit in addition to the right of residency for family members.

The visa aims to attract investors, entrepreneurs and exceptional talents who can contribute to Bahrain's continued success.

Over the past two years, the UAE has provided longer and more diversified visas, and the opportunity to obtain Emirati citizenship, in an attempt to retain specialists in certain professions and their families.
