Muscat Hosts the Lebanese-Omani Business Forum to Strengthen the Economic Relations

The Sultanate of Oman hosted the Omani-Lebanese Business Forum, which was organized by Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, to enhance the available opportunities and the investment and commercial exchange between the two countries and to establish and strengthen partnerships between Omani and Lebanese business owners.

Eng. Redha Juma Al-Saleh, the Chairman of the BOD of Oman Chamber of Commerce & Industry, affirmed that "the private sector in both countries plays a major role in developing trade and economic relations, and there is a common ambition to strengthen and develop these relations to reflect positively on the volume of trade and investment exchange," noting that "the Sultanate, thanks to Continuous updating of legislation, laws and procedures regulating investment, in addition to the incentives and facilities granted to investors, has become an attractive destination for foreign investment, with its security and political stability, a free economic system, and the continuous progress that the Sultanate is making in the ease of business index.

For his part, Mohamed Choucair, the President of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Lebanon, considered that "today, after containing the Corona pandemic, we are here again to confirm that the process of cooperation between the private sector in the two countries continues with the strong support of the Lebanese economic bodies, Oman Chamber, and the leadership of the two brotherly countries," he added: "we are committed to doing everything that would strengthen and enhance cooperation and create meaningful partnerships between the private sectors in the two countries to invest in the available opportunities, stressing that we are ready to partner with the Omani private sector to invest in the proposed projects, and today we renew this readiness with the Lebanese government's work to restore Activating the CEDRE Conference for the development of infrastructure, and launching projects for the reconstruction of the port of Beirut and the surrounding area.
