The report issued by the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) entitled: "Digital Government Services in the GCC Region: Exploiting Opportunities to Gain Citizens' Trust and Satisfaction", showed that the United Arab Emirates has achieved exceptional capabilities, superior performance and advanced efficiency in the field of digital transformation, thanks to its adoption of a comprehensive map of digital transformation, and an integrated strategy to confront the repercussions of the spread of the emerging “Coronavirus” pandemic, which qualified it well to occupy the third place globally in providing digital government services to citizens and residents.
The report reviews the efforts made by the governments of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries to maintain their leading position in the application of emerging technologies, improve the quality of digital services provided, and expand their implementation in an integrated manner recently.
The report indicated that the level of satisfaction with digital government services in the UAE is high, reaching 73 percent, compared to the average of developed countries (64 percent) and developing countries (58 percent). The strategies and programs for digital transformation in the country have also succeeded in achieving tangible positive results, where the UAE has become among the developed countries in the world in terms of access to digital government services.
