A press conference was held at the headquarters of the Arab League, during which the Second Edition of the "Arab Rally for Entrepreneurship" and the "Arab Entrepreneurs" Forum was launched, with the participation of the organizers of the two events scheduled to be held within the "Dubai Expo 2020" during the period between 11/10/2021 - 31/1/2022, and that is under the supervision and organization of the Union of Arab Chambers, the League of Arab States, the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Arab Academy for Technology, Science and Maritime Transport, and the UNIDO Office for Investment and Technology in Bahrain.
The Secretary General of the Union of Arab Chambers, Khaled Hanafi, pointed to the "importance of the Arab Rally for Entrepreneurship" competition, which allows the youth of the Arab world to present ideas for emerging projects and compete for financial prizes, thus contributing to the development of society through their technological projects while raising their level of income. Noting that "the participants in the previous will have opportunities to present their projects in front of many owners of international companies and investors."
He stressed "the need to work on building a sustainable Arab economy by encouraging entrepreneurship and youth initiatives. In addition to supporting research centers in Arab universities and creating departments in Arab universities concerned with entrepreneurship. As well as stimulating the Arab economy by supporting small and medium enterprises by supporting Arab youth."
The Secretary General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, welcomed the organization of the "Arab Rally for Entrepreneurship", expressing the willingness of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States to provide all support and facilities for the success of organizing the competition. He called for the intensive promotion of the competition by the cooperating bodies in the organization. Aboul Gheit revealed that the League of Arab States has coordinated with the organizers of the "Dubai Expo 2020" to hold the "Arab Rally for Entrepreneurship" competition during the month of February 2022. And for the event to receive exceptional support in order to provide opportunities for success due to the importance it embodies in terms of supporting creative Arab youth.
The Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sameer Abdulla Nass, touched on the chamber's willingness to cooperate with the organizing parties for the second edition of the Arab Rally competition, similar to the first edition that was organized in the Kingdom of Bahrain in 2019.
The Secretary General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, welcomed at the headquarters of the League of Arab States in Cairo, an Arab economic delegation that included: Secretary General of the Union of Arab Chambers, Dr. Khaled Hanafi, Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sameer Abdulla Nass, Vice Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry Khaled Al-Najibi, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport Ismail Abdul-Ghaffar, Head of the UNIDO Office for Investment and Technology in Bahrain, Hashem Hussain.
The meeting witnessed the presence of the Assistant Secretary-General for Economic Affairs, Ambassador Dr. Kamal Hassan Ali, the Assistant Secretary-General and Adviser to the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ambassador Husam Zaki, the director of the Arab, Foreign and Joint Chambers Hoda Kashtan, the Economic Advisor at the Union of Arab Chambers, Dr. Sarah El-Jazzar, and the director of the Economic Relations Department at the League of Arab States, Rehab Ezz El-Din.
