4 Emirati banks ranked among the list of the largest 200 banks around the world, according to "The Banker" magazine within its comprehensive report on the best thousand banks in the world. Six UAE banks were ranked in the top 25 Banks in the Middle East in 2020, a sub-list issued by the magazine.
Abu Dhabi Bank came first in the second place in the Arab region, and 85 globally, with a capital of 20.79 billion dollars, followed by the Emirates NBD in the third place in the Middle East, and 87 globally with a capital of 20.29 billion, then Abu Dhabi Commercial in the 6th place in the Middle East and 118 in the world, with a capital of $13.57 billion.
Dubai Islamic Bank ranked 14th in the Middle East, and 187th in the world, with a capital of $7.94 billion, and Mashreq Bank came in the 18th in the Middle East, and 238 globally, with a capital of $5.65 billion, while Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank came in the 22nd in the Middle East, and the 268 globally, with a capital of $4.91 billion.
Chinese banks topped the first 4 places in the list of the best thousand banks in the world, the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China with a capital of 380 billion dollars, the China Construction Bank with a capital of 316 billion dollars, the Agricultural Bank of China with a capital of 278 billion dollars, then the Bank of China with a capital of 258 billion dollars.
