Dubai Chamber Discusses with the Zambian President Prospects for Economic Cooperation

Zambian President Edgar Chagua Longo has called on UAE companies to establish economic, investment and trade partnerships with the Zambian companies, enhance the economic cooperation and profit from the potential of both sides for a prosperous future and benefit the business community of both countries.

President Longo made the remarks during the meeting of a Zambian delegation with Majid Saif Al Ghurair, Dubai Chamber Chairman, stressing that “there are joint investment opportunities that can benefit UAE and Zambian companies in key sectors of common interest, including agriculture, food industry, tourism and renewable energy.”

H.E. pointed out that Zambia offers many advantages to foreign investors and companies because of its strategic location, easy access to other promising markets in South Africa and high consumer demand.

For his part, Al Ghurair pointed out to the importance of enhancing the bilateral investment relations between Dubai and Zambia, pointing to the commitment of the Dubai Chamber to provide all possible facilities that help investors to enhance their activities," adding that "there is a mutual desire of the two sides to strengthen the economic and trade frameworks cooperation to serve the common goals.”
