The total assets of the Emirati Central Bank increased by 1 percent in September, rising to around 427 billion dirhams ($116.2 billion) from 422.61 billion dirhams ($115 billion) in August 2019, according to the data of a report issued lately by the UAE central bank.
The increase in total assets was supported by an increase in CB cash and bank balances to 238.54 billion ($64.9 billion) at the end of September of this year, compared to 234.11 billion ($63.7 billion) in the preceding month (August).
Deposits at the central bank jumped to 130.34 billion dirhams ($35.4 billion) in September, compared with 116.2 billion dirhams ($31.6 billion) at the end of August, while the balance of other assets rose from 3.3 billion dirhams ($898 million) to about 6 billion dirhams ($106 billion). The balance of the investment item closed at 52 billion dirhams (#14.1 billion) and the balance of loans and advances reached 70 thousand dirhams (19 thousand dollars).
