The Chairman of Jordan Chamber of Commerce Senator Nael Raja Al-Kabariti, met with the Dr. Shafiq Dayyoub, the Head of Mission at the Syrian Embassy in Amman Dr. Youssef Masoud Al-Shoum, the Minister-Counselor, at the Jordan Chamber of Commerce during which they discussed ways to boost the economic relations between Jordan and Syria and to open more bridges of bilateral cooperation between the two sides.
Al-Kabariti pointed out that "Jordan and Syria have a brotherly relationship in all fields," calling for "the need to work and cooperation and study the challenges and problems that hinder the economic cooperation and work to resolve them to promote trade exchange and not only for the reconstruction of Syria, because of the importance of Jordan's position for the Syrian economy as well as Syria's position for the economy".
He also stressed "the need to improve trade relations and cooperation in removing the challenges and obstacles that have weakened the volume of trade exchange between the two countries."
For his part, Dr. Dayyoub noted that "Syria today is ready to take any step on its part to improve economic and trade relations between the two countries, in addition to the Syrian side wishes to unify the transit fees and procedures to facilitate the passage of Jordanian goods and products to the Syrian market in order to increase the volume of trade exchange and economic cooperation between Jordan and Syria".
