UAE is the 1st Arab Country in the field of e-Commerce

The UAE ranked first among the group of West Asian and North African countries for developing and transitional economies in the field of e-commerce in 2018 under the category of “company to consumer”, which is specialized in e-commerce transactions between companies and consumers, according to the report of the e-commerce index 2018 published by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).

The report categorizes the e-business operations into six categories by process: company to company, company to consumer, company to government, consumer to government, consumer to company, and consumer to consumer. According to the report, the UAE maintained its fourth position among the group of developing countries in the 2017/2018/ report, while it ranked first among the group of West Asian and North African countries for developing and transition economies, and ranked 33rd globally in e-commerce under the category of "company to consumer". for the year 2018.

According to the report, 8 European countries have acquired e-commerce in the list of the top 10 countries that manage e-commerce "company to consumer", while Luxembourg came out of the top ten countries to rank 19 in the 2018 report after it was at the top of the world in 2017 report.
