Ali Mohammed Thunayan Al-Ghanim, Chairman of Kuwaiti Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) praised the wisdom of His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Prince of Kuwait, in the leadership of his country. He pointed out that “His Highness the Late Prince, is one of the most prominent personalities in Kuwait’s history, whose mentality played a key role in the development of Kuwait."
In an interview with Arrajol’s Saudi magazine, Mr. Al-Ghanim referred to the role of Kuwaiti businessmen in modern history of the country, recalling that "Merchants were the ones who started to promote democracy in Kuwait, who set the basis of their relations and elected the royal family in Kuwait and supported them until today. They have been the pillar of the state budget even before the discovery of oil.” He added, "We are relying on the empowerment of youth through education, focusing on early education, quality of education starting with the elementary stage, and high-quality teachers."
On the other hand, Al-Ghanim acknowledged the depth of relations between Kuwait and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia that have existed since the era of rulers, King Abdul Aziz and Mubarak Al-Sabah. He considered that "Saudi Arabia is a civilized country that has a solid ground for traders and investors from all over of the world."
