About the Federation
The Federation of Yemen Chambers of Commerce and Industry has been established on the year 1963.
According to the Republican Decree No. (14) which issued in the same year. Since the establishment of the federation until now, the federation has carried out large number of tasks and functions, the most are:
- The contribution in solving the economic and commercial problems.
- The contribution in solving the difficulties and obstacles which encountered the growth and the development of the special Business Environment.
- The establishment of the chambers in all Governorates of the Republic which estimated to twenty one chamber.
- To hold meetings with the representatives of the special business environment and the concerned governmental bodies. About the most issues which faced the growth and the development of the National Economy.
- The Preparation of large group of economic studies.
- The participation in the delegations, exhibitions and economic, commercial regional and International forums.
In the light of the International trends, the private sector plays the pioneer role in the leadership of the track of the economic and social development. Therefore, the federation will seek to strengthen and develop the bases of the effective participation with the government and the corporations of the society for the sake of sustained comprehensive development and to stretch the bridges of cooperation and participation with the corporations and regional and international organizations to carry out the following:
- To raise the level of the performance of the special business environment.
- To solve the problems and obstacles which are facing the Yemeni economy.
- To encourage the domestic foreign investments.
- To create new working opportunities for the members of the Yemeni work market.
- The preparations of the private sector to the regional and international economic integration.

Vision:
To be a pioneer institution on the comprehensive economic development, and the main supporter and organizer in developing the private sector activities for both companies & individuals, As well as providing the real support to develop the activities of the Yemeni chambers of commerce and industry.
Mission:
The Federation and its members in the comprehensive economic social development.
Objectives:
Law No. (27) for the year 2003 set for the federation objectives and great objectives and tasks suits with the ambitions of the coming stage to enable the Yemeni private sector to play pioneer role in the economy mostly:
1) To prepare the studies for all the economic activities with the collaboration of the chamber and to submit them to the concerned authorities.
2) To represent the commercial industrial chambers before the concerned authorities in the affairs which doesn’t interfere in the specialization of a particular chamber.
3) To submit the report of the Minister and the concerned authorities with the economic developments in general and to notify the chambers with the results of the report.
4) To take part in the councils and the governmental agencies have connection with the general economic policies.
5) To take part in the collective negotiations relating to the concluding joint work contracts with the concerned international organizations.
6) To assist the chambers to prepare the studies which enable her to undertake its duties and the work to all which lead to activate them and for its advancement and its growth.
7) To make the reconciliation and arbitration between the chambers or between the chambers and others.
8) The work to coordinate the efforts and the cooperation with the Arab, regional and international chambers and the federation as well as the exchange of the commercial and industrial information with the purpose of to reach to realize the mutual interest.
9) The issuance of the commercial industrial guide for the republic.
10) To express and submit the opinion of the concerned authorities in the following issues:
- To prepare and to amend bills and regulations have the economic types.
- To establish free markets, bourses as well as to establish exhibitions.
11) The cooperation and the coordination with the chambers to:
- Establish the centers and the commercial industrial institutes and to manage them to their members.
- Set up the markets and permanent and temporarily exhibitions inside and outside.
