Lebanese Banks Amongst the Top Thousand World Banks

For the second consecutive year, the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited (abb. ICBC) topped the list of the world's top 1000 banks, with its core private funds reaching the threshold of $337.54 billion and assets of about $4.044 billion by the end of 2018, followed by the China Construction Bank, which had its core private funds $287.46 billion, while its assets amounted to about $3.390 billion.

On a regional level, the Qatari National Bank (QNB) outperformed its Arab counterparts in terms of the value of core private funds, which stood at $22.53 billion and ranked 75th globally, followed by First Abu Dhabi Bank with $19.52 billion in core private funds, in the 86th place.

As for the Lebanese banks, Bank Audi was ranked 341 on the list of 1000 largest banks in the world, with its core private funds exceeding $3.24 billion at the end of 2018, followed by BLOM BANK (core private funds: $2.97 billion) in the 361 place, SGBL (core private funds: $1.74 billion) at the 534 place, Byblos (core private funds: $1.73 billion) at the 537 place, and Fransabank (core private funds: $1.69 billion) at the 545 place globally.
