El-Sisi: Egypt is Ready to Launch an African Digital Trading Platform

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi pointed out that "the shift towards digitization represents a great opportunity for Egypt," adding that "the state is moving powerfully in this direction, which represents the present and the future that Cairo wants to go."

El-Sisi said in his speech at the opening of the Cairo ICT Fair 2019, that "Egypt is a big market with 100 million people, and the country is adopting a clear strategy in this sector to ensure its success, especially in efforts to fight corruption and good governance and reduce human intervention in administrative procedures."

The Egyptian President expressed Egypt's readiness to cooperate with the private sector to launch a digital trading platform in Africa, which supports digital trade in Egypt and the continent as a whole, pointing out that "Egypt is always happy to be an exhibition platform that serves humanity, construction, peace, progress and development, indicating that his country will provide all facilities to improve their performance in various fields."
