The UAC Council Discusses Strategic Issues at its 130th Session

The Kingdom of Bahrain hosted the meeting of the Executive Committee of the Council of the Union of Arab Chambers and the 130th session of the UAC Council, which were held on November 10 and 11, 2019 at the Four Seasons Hotel, chaired by HE Mohamed Abdo Saeed the President of the Union, and in the presence of HE Mr. Sameer Abdullah Nass, the Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the President of the Federation of Arab Chambers of Commerce and Industry. The participation of their Excellencies the heads of federations and chambers of commerce members of the Union of Arab Chambers.

The agenda of the 130th session of UAC Council dealt with a number of items and issues, including the ratification of the decisions and recommendations of the 129th session of the Union Council, which was held last February in the Omani capital Muscat, as well as the decisions and recommendations implemented, reviewing the minutes of meeting and the report of the Executive and Financial Committees of the Union, the draft budget of the Union for 2020, the minutes of the meeting of the Committee of the Joint Chambers Affairs, the book of Arab heritage in economic thought and world trade and transport throughout history, in addition to a report on the symposium of directors, general secretaries, and executives of the Arab-Joint Chambers, as well as the discussion of the 7th Arab Conference on Investment in Food Security to be held on December 11 and 12, 2019 in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates.

The organization of the meetings of the 130th session of the Council of the Union of Arab Chambers aims at enhancing the economic cooperation among Arab countries and developing the private sector.
