El Wakil: The Egyptian - Jordanian Logistics Center Will Contribute to the Activation of the Strategic Partnership

Chairman of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce Ahmed El Wakil and Chairman of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce, Senator Nael Al Kabariti, agreed to organize a visit of a specialists’ delegation in both countries on July 28 to examine the proposed site for the establishment of the Egyptian-Jordanian logistics center, which will be established in Mafraq Governorate in Jordan, in order to implement the recommendations of the Egyptian-Jordanian High Joint Committee which was recently held in Cairo under the chairmanship of the Prime Ministers of both countries, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly and Dr. Omar Razzaz.

In this regard, El Wakil said that "this project comes as a successful mechanism to achieve the tri-agreement of President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi, King Abdullah of Jordan and Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Al-Mahdi during the tripartite summit held recently in Cairo to activate a strategic partnership and develop mechanisms to promote integration and economic cooperation, including strengthening and developing cooperation in the industrial field and common industrial zones, and cooperation in the sectors of energy, infrastructure and reconstruction, in addition to increasing the trade exchange."

He added: "this center will support our partners from Jordan, Iraq and Syria and help them develop their exports to Egypt to import goods from other countries, as it will serve as a center to collect their exports to take advantage of trucks loaded with goods from Egypt to come back not only to Egypt, but to access the African market, benefiting with that all parties and will contribute to the development and strengthening of the trilateral cooperation towards Africa.”
