Qatar 2019 National Budget to Forecast Surplus

Qatar’s Finance Minister, Ali Sharif Al Emadi, revealed that the National Budget for 2019 will forecast a surplus.
"Qatar’s financial statements for the first half of 2018 confirmed the strength of its economy, with the non-oil sector growing more than 5% in the first half of 2018."
In a meeting held on November 21, the Government approved, the draft budget for the fiscal year 2019, and a bill to adopt the budget, and agreed to transmit all of the main sections and items of the draft budget to the consultative Council.
The draft budget includes allocation of funds for the development of infrastructure in the economic, industrial and logistics areas, supporting initiatives to develop the business environment, enhancing the role of the private sector and its participation in various economic activities, supporting projects on food security, developing land for citizens, and increasing efficiency in public spending.
