Agreements on projects between Egypt & China worth $18.3 Billion

Several agreements and contracts with a number of Chinese companies were signed in presence of the Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, during his visit to China, to implement various projects in Egypt with an investment value estimated at $18.3 billion.
These projects include the establishment of a central business in the administrative capital, a pumping and storage station in Mount Ataka, the establishment of a power plant in Hamrawein, in addition to the Shandong Ruyi Textile Group Project, the Taishan Gypsum Board Project, the Xiamen Yangjiang manufacture of new materials and the establishment of a refinery and petrochemical complex at the Suez Canal.
In addition to that, three contracts have been signed with the largest Chinese companies specialized in the fields of spinning, weaving and panel manufacturing with investments estimated at over one billion dollars. The contracts aim at working in TEDA Industrial Zone of the Suez Canal Economic Zone in Ain Sukhna. The “China State Construction” also signed contracts worth $9.6 billion with Egyptian institutions.
