Council of Saudi Chambers Discusses the Role of the Business Sector in the National Economy

Chairman of Council of Saudi Chambers Eng. Ahmed Bin Sulaiman Al Rajhi, chaired the 96th council meeting of the Council of Saudi Chambers hosted by Makkah Chamber of Commerce, which was in the presence of the Vice-Chairmen of the Council of Saudi Chambers Sami Al Obaidi, Munir Bin Mohammed Bin Saad, Secretary General Dr. Saud Al Mashari, and (28) chairmen and representatives of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry in the Kingdom.

The meeting discussed a number of issues aimed at enhancing the role of the private sector in the development process of economic and social development.

Al Rajhi explained that “The agenda of the Board of Directors of the Council of Saudi Chambers included a number of topics aiming at making a quantum leap in the performance of the business sector during the next phase. notably a report on the follow-up and implementation of the resolutions and recommendations of the 95th Board meeting held recently at the Qassim Chamber. In addition to discussing the Chamber Award initiative for the best project and the tender list of the Council to become more transparent, effective and governed, as well as the adoption of the annual report of the Council in preparation for submission to the concerned parties.”

Al Rajhi, also pointed out to the importance of these meetings and the resulting decisions that enhance the position of the Saudi business sector and enable it to play the role it hopes of as a strategic partner of the public sector in light of this stage and the need to redouble efforts to implement the government directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Kingdom of Saudi Arabia aiming at realization of the kingdom vision by 2030.
