The Public Establishment for International Fairs and Exhibitions (PEIFE) has announced the 61st Damascus International Fair 2019, which will be held under the patronage of President Bashar al-Assad from 28 August to 6 September.

Damascus International Fair in Syria is an international exhibition held in Damascus annually since 1954 and is one of the oldest, majestic and largest international exhibitions in the Middle East. The exhibition is attended by dozens of countries from different continents and hundreds of Syrian, Arab and international companies distributed over 45 different wings. Its total area is of 7000 square meters and the exhibition area of 4500 meters, and consists of 4 buildings on two floors. The food, engineering, chemical and service sectors participates in it in addition to some other Syrian ministries.
