A survey that ranks the countries most likely to attract funds over the next three years shows that the Middle East is increasingly emerging as one of the most desirable locations for foreign investors looking to inject capital. According to the survey, efforts to diversify the economy and develop business policies in the UAE helped make the biggest jumps on the Kearney FDI Confidence Index for 2024. It has climbed ten places since 2023, ranking eighth globally.

Among emerging markets, the UAE and Saudi Arabia ranked second and third respectively, behind China. Oman also entered the list of emerging markets for the first time, thanks to the launch of the Future Fund, which will focus mostly on attracting foreign direct investment.
