Dubai International Airport ranked second globally in terms of the number of international flights departing in January 2024, according to the monthly air transport observatory issued by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), which also showed that the UAE ranked seventh globally, among the top 10 countries in the number of international departures.

This superiority comes after strong competition with international airports, where Amsterdam Airport came in first place, and London Heathrow in third place, which shows Dubai's global impact as a transportation and communication center, knowing that Dubai Airport retains the title of the largest global airport, in terms of the number of international passengers since 2014, as well as being the largest airport, in terms of scheduled seat capacity for flights departing for years. This ranking reflects the airport's strength as a key player in the commercial aviation sector globally.
