In February 2024, the Qatar Central Bank's foreign reserves grew by 4.9 percent year-on-year to $67.7 billion. The rise in international reserves and foreign currency liquidity to an all-time high has supported an increase in official reserves to $51.5 billion. This was driven by the rise in the value of investment in foreign treasury bonds to about $ 38.2 billion, and the increase in gold holdings by 25 percent to $ 6.7 billion. In addition, the balance with foreign banks increased by 55 percent to about $ 5.2 billion.

In January, Qatar's foreign reserves grew 5.3 percent year-on-year to $67.6 billion.
