Saudi Tourism Minister Ahmed Al-Khatib revealed the Kingdom's new plans to target 150 million tourists by 2030 after achieving its previous targets of 100 million tourists last year and 7 years before its targets.

Al-Khatib considered that Saudi Arabia would become one of the top five countries in the world attracting tourists, pointing to the Kingdom's readiness to launch a stimulus package for investors to make the sector easier and less expensive to work in. He pointed out that Saudi Arabia focuses on incoming tourism from abroad in addition to domestic tourism, "where we have all the tourism capabilities to attract tourists globally, and we target 70 million foreign tourists by 2030, compared to 27 million currently."
