Dubai Ranks First in the World in Hotel Occupancy in Early 2024

Dubai topped the world's cities in hotel occupancy rates between January 14 and 20, 2024, supported by leisure tourism, according to market analysis released by hotel data and research specialist STR.

Dubai saw the highest occupancy rate of 82.9 percent (+0.2 percentage points), with the peak of last year's entertainment season still prolonged. The city's hotels recorded an improvement in occupancy rates, compared to the same period in 2023. The average hotel room rate in Dubai was $193 (Dh708.3), an increase of 4.5 percent year-on-year.
