The Central Bank of Tunisia kept the key interest rate unchanged at 8 percent, indicating that the decision will contribute to reducing inflationary pressures further.

The data showed Tunisia's annual inflation rate slowed for the third consecutive month to 8.3 percent in November. Inflation stood at 8.6 percent in October, 9 percent in September and 9.3 percent in August.

The central bank revealed that the current deficit fell to 4.234 billion dinars ($1.35 billion), or 2.7 percent of GDP, at the end of October 2023, compared to 11.982 billion dinars, or 8.3 percent of GDP, a year ago.
