Egypt's Trade Deficit Has Risen To This Level?!

Data issued by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics in Egypt showed a deficit in the trade balance of about $ 3.14 billion during September 2023, compared to $ 2.84 billion for the same month of the previous year, an increase of 10.3 percent.

The value of exports decreased by 33.7 percent, reaching $ 2.94 billion during September 2023, compared to $ 4.44 billion for the same month of the previous year. This is due to the decrease in the value of exports of some commodities, the most important of which are: ready-made garments by 11.1 percent, petroleum products by 68.2 percent, fertilizers by 65.9 percent, and creditor in their primary forms by 36.5 percent.
