Ahmed Al-Wakeel as President of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce by Acclamation

The President of the Egyptian Chamber of Commerce in Alexandria and President of the Federation of Mediterranean Chambers, Ahmed Al-Wakeel, won the presidency of the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce by acclamation, succeeding the outgoing President Ibrahim Al-Arabi.

Former ICT Minister Hani Mahmoud won the position of First Vice President of the federation, Amr Abou El-Oyoun as Second Vice President, Dr. Mohamed Al-Fayoumi as Treasurer, Mohamed Saada as Secretary General and Akram El-Shafei as Assistant Treasurer. Businessman Ayman Al-Ashry, owner of Al-Ashry Steel Company, also won the presidency of the Cairo Chamber.

The Board of Directors of the Egyptian Chamber of Commerce in Alexandria has already held its procedural session to form the Chamber's Bureau and selected the Chamber's President, his two deputies, the Secretary-General, the Treasurer, and the Assistant Treasurer, and resulted in Ahmed Al-Wakeel winning the presidency of the Alexandria Chamber.

Ahmed Al-Wakeel was the president of the General Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce for many years, until 2019 when Ibrahim Al-Arabi was elected president of the federation.
