China's Foreign Trade Surplus Records $470.8 Billion

China's trade surplus grew 2.8 percent in the first seven months of this year to 3.39 trillion yuan ($470.8 billion).

According to data issued by the General Administration of Customs, the trade balance surplus reached $ 458 billion in the corresponding period of 2022. China's overseas exports grew 1.5 percent year on year to 13.47 trillion yuan ($1.87 trillion). On the other hand, the volume of imports fell by 1.1 percent from the previous year, to reach 10.08 trillion yuan ($ 1.4 trillion), bringing the total volume of foreign trade (imports and exports) by 0.4 percent on an annual basis, during the first seven months of 2023.
