Re-election of Ahmed Al-Wakil to head the Federation of the White Sea Chambers of Commerce

The member chambers of the Federation of White Sea Chambers of Commerce and Industry "ESCAMI" re-elected Ahmed El-Wakeel, President of the Alexandria Chamber, to preside over the federation until the end of 2024, with the unanimous consent of all chambers, during their meetings in Barcelona, Spain.

The federation brings together more than 300 chambers from 23 countries bordering the White and Black Seas, representing more than 100 million companies.

Al-Wakil indicated that the Union of Chambers of the Mediterranean currently has 27 regional sectoral projects to support cooperation between companies from the two parts of the Mediterranean funded by grants from the European Union with more than 120 million euros in the sectors of industry, support for entrepreneurs, renewable energy, agriculture, environment, and sustainable tourism. In addition to facilitating companies' access to soft loans, investment risk guarantees, and trade financing available from various banks and development funds, which exceed 22 billion euros.
