The 10th Arab – Hellenic Economic Forum Discusses the Development of Economic Relations

The Arab – Hellenic Chamber organized, during the period 7 and 8 December 2021, the "10th Arab – Hellenic Economic Forum ", at the Divani Caravel Hotel of Athens, Greece, with a personal presence and remote communication of businessmen from Greece and 16 Arab countries.

The opening session was presented by Rashad Mabjer, the Chamber's Secretary-General, and then there was welcoming speeches by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab-Hellenic Chamber, Harris Geronikolas, the Vice-President of the Arab-Hellenic Chamber, Head of Human Resources in the CCC Group, Souheil Sabbagh, and the Secretary-General of the Union of Arab Chambers, Dr. Khaled Hanafy.

Then the guest of honor, the Greek Minister of Development and Investment, Adonis Georgiadis, gave a speech in which he valued the Greek-Arab relations.

The five sessions dealt with topics and axes of interest to the Greek and Arab sides, including climate change and renewable energy, recent developments in the field of navigation, port and logistics industries, construction and infrastructure, technology transfer in the food industry, and the latest of which is tourism and real estate investment.

The Secretary-General of the Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the General Coordinator of the Arab-Foreign Joint Chambers, Abdulaziz Al-Mikhlafi, who spoke about the role of the Arab-foreign joint chambers in strengthening Arab relations with the countries hosting these chambers. The forum's program included holding the third annual session, "Meeting Arab Ambassadors", in which he was presented by the alternate Greek Minister of Development and Investment, Nicholas Papathanasis, reviewing the Greek government's efforts and success in economic reforms. The ambassadors from the following Arab countries also spoke at the session: Yemen, Jordan, Egypt, the Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Qatar, Algeria, Morocco, the Sultanate of Oman, and Tunisia.
