The Sudanese Ministry of Finance revealed that the general budget for 2021 includes a set of basic pillars and features, most notably achieving political and security stability, establishing peace and resolving conflicts peacefully.

In this context, Finance Minister Heba Muhammad Ali explained, "The draft budget aims to achieve economic stability, in addition to achieving economic governance by enforcing the authority of laws that regulate economic activity, the provisions of institutional controls, transparency, accountability, accountability, auditing, and combating financial and administrative corruption.”

She said, "The draft budget also aims to achieve economic stability, taking into account the requirements of achieving the goals of sustainable development 2030, achieving comprehensive and sustainable peace, in addition to achieving a positive growth rate of the gross domestic product and reducing the percentage of the total deficit of the public budget to safe limits, realizing the mandate of the Central Bank of Sudan over foreign exchange, diversifying sources of national income, and strengthening regional and international cooperation to provide financing for various development projects.”

Sudan has been suffering for months from an economic deterioration, most notably the low price of the Sudanese pound against other currencies, the high prices of goods and services and the high rate of inflation. The Sudanese government hopes to obtain loans and grants from states and international financing institutions after removing Sudan from the list of states sponsoring terrorism.
