The Egyptian Government Approves a Package of Incentives to Support the Tourism Sector

The Egyptian government approved a package of incentives and discounts for visitors and organizers of major tourist trips, to organize trips to Egyptian tourist governorates, in light of its preparations for the return of incoming tourism, and among those incentives is the abolition of tourist visas for foreigners, until October 31, 2020, in addition to validity extension with the current aviation stimulus program until October 29, 2020.

The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities granted discounts of 20% on the prices of tickets for visiting all museums and archaeological sites, as well as visit permits for tourists coming from abroad on Egyptian Airlines for a period of 15 days.

For its part, the Ministry of Petroleum granted a reduction in the price of fuel for aviation, bringing the total value of the reduction to 10 cents per gallon.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation also granted airlines a 50% discount on landing and boarding fees, and a 20% discount on ground service fees provided for direct flight to tourist governorates airports, for direct flight until October 31, 2020.
